Step 1: Scrape off the Excess Feces
Using a spoon or a dull knife, gently scrape off as much of the feces as you can without pressing too hard. This will help to ensure that the feces does not sink into the fabric and cause further damage.
Step 2: Pre-treat the Stain with Detergent
Apply liquid detergent or pre-treatment spray directly onto the stain. Allow it to sit for several minutes before gently rubbing it in with a soft cloth. If the stain has had time to dry, then moisten it with a few drops of cold water.
Step 3: Wash in Warm Water With Detergent
After thoroughly pre-treating stain, wash the garment in warm water (check the care instructions on the dress first!) with some regular laundry detergent. Allow the dress to soak in the soapy water for at least 30 minutes.
Step 4: Hang To Dry Outdoors
Once the dress is finished washing, hang it up outdoors to air-dry away from direct sunlight. Once dried, inspect the dress for any remaining stain, and repeat the above steps if necessary.
