A Handy Guide: How to Easily Get Feces Stains Out of an Apron
Getting feces stains out of fabric can seem like a tricky task, but it doesn’t have to be. Follow this guide to easily clean feces stains from your apron and have it looking brand new again.

What You'll Need
- White vinegar
- Borax powder
- Baking soda
- Liquid dish soap
- Cold water
- Stiff-bristled brush
- Laundry detergent
Instructions
- Mix together 2 tablespoons of white vinegar, 1 tablespoon of Borax powder, and 1/3 cup of baking soda in a bowl. Add enough cold water to make a paste.
- Apply the paste directly onto the fecal stain and rub it in with a stiff-bristled brush. Allow paste to sit on the stain for 5 minutes.
- Add a few drops of liquid dish soap to the stained area and scrub the stain with the brush. Rinse the apron with cold water to remove the paste.
- Soak apron with cold water, ensuring that the soiled area is submerged. Add a few drops of laundry detergent to the water, mix it in and allow the apron to soak for 1 hour.
- Rinse the apron with cold water, then launder as usual.
Tips
- Be sure to check care label on the apron before laundering.
- If stain persists after the initial treatment, repeat steps 1-4.
- For tougher stains, try pre-treating the stain with a stained-removal product.
