Use a sponge or cloth to pre-treat the stained area with warm water, laundry detergent, and white vinegar. Thoroughly scrub the area to remove any traces of dirt, oil, or grease.
Spray the area with a stain remover specifically designed for washing fabrics and wait for about 15 minutes before wiping away. If the stain does not come off, you may need to repeat this step.
For a light-colored fabric, rinse the area with cold water and immediately wash the garment in the washing machine. Set the machine to the gentle cycle and use an oxygen bleach powder. Heat will set the stain so make sure the water temperature is cold.
To ensure the stain has been completely removed, hang garment up to dry. Do not put it in the dryer because heat will set stain if it is still present.
