Feces stains on Aeropostale items can be a real nightmare, but with the right approach and product selection, you can completely remove the mess without damaging the fabric or colors. You must act quickly to contain the damage and make the fabric safe for use again.

What You'll Need

  • Enzyme cleaner
  • White cloth
  • Bucket of warm water
  • Vinegar
  • Stain remover
  • Laundry detergent

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Remove the item from any other materials such as bedding, furniture, etc. and take it to sink.
  2. Rinse the area with cold running water to remove as much of the waste as possible. Do not rub the area as this may push the stain further into the fabric.
  3. Mix a solution of enzyme cleaner, vinegar and warm water in a bucket. Soak item with the mixture for an hour.
  4. Remove the item and rinse it with cold water.
  5. If the stain remains, apply a stain remover to the affected area and allow it to sit for several minutes.
  6. Rinse the item again using cold water.
  7. If the stain is still present, soak item with a laundry detergent solution for an hour.
  8. Rinse with cold water, and then run the item through a normal cycle in washing machine.
  9. Once the item is dry, inspect it for any remaining stains.
  10. If any residue remains, use a white cloth dampened with warm soapy water to gently scrub the area.

Tips and Tricks

  • Always work from the outside of the stain towards the center – this will help to avoid spreading the stain further.
  • Make sure you use a cleaning product that is safe for the fabric and colors of the item.
  • For extra tough stains, try using vinegar and baking soda or hydrogen peroxide.
