The first step in removing any stain is gathering solids and disposing of them properly. Feces are wet and can easily spread, so use a paper towel or wadded up newspaper to scoop up as much of the material as possible.
Once you have picked up the solid material, you will want to blot the stained area with white vinegar or rubbing alcohol. These solutions are acidic and can help break down stain along with loosening any particles that may still be stuck to the acrylic.
Using warm water and soap, scrub the stain gently with a soft cloth. The goal is to always work from outside of the stain to the inside to ensure that you are not pushing the stain further into the acrylic. Make sure to rinse regularly and thoroughly to avoid leaving behind soapy residue.
If the stain still remains, try using a paste made of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Mix two together and apply it to the stain. Let it sit for 15 minutes before scrubbing it off with a damp cloth.
If the stain persists, repeat the previous steps until it is gone. It may take several attempts but eventually, the stain should come out completely.
The process of removing feces stains from acrylic can be tedious but can be done with a bit of patience and elbow grease. First, pick up any solid material, then use white vinegar or rubbing alcohol to blot area. Continue by scrubbing the stain with soap and water, followed by a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Repeat these steps until the stain is removed.
