Start out by soaking your shoe in warm water and detergent. After a few minutes, take an old toothbrush and gently scrub affected area. Once you've scrubbed the area thoroughly, rinse the shoe off with fresh water.
If the stain still isn't gone, try using rubbing alcohol on a clean cloth. Dab the cloth onto the stain and gently scrub it away. Keep repeating this process until the stain is gone. Rinse the area with cool water when done.
If the stain persists, try applying a commercial stain remover onto the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes before washing it away with cold water. Be sure to read and follow the directions on the bottle of the stain remover very carefully.
Another method you can use to remove stubborn stains is to spot treat with white vinegar. Simply dab some vinegar onto stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, take an old toothbrush and scrub away the stain. Rinse the shoe with cold water when done.
With a bit of patience, you can easily remove eye shadow stains from your Vans shoes. Just remember to use the right cleaning products and techniques to ensure your favorite kicks are in tip-top condition.
