Gather Your Supplies

You'll need a few things before you start. Here is what to have on hand:

  • Soft cloth or microfiber glasses cleaning cloth
  • Mild soap (dish or laundry)
  • Small bowl filled with warm water
  • Cotton swabs
  • Rubbing alcohol (optional)

Instructions for Cleaning Eye Shadow Stains

Begin by gently wiping lenses and frame of your glasses using a soft cloth. If there's still residue remaining, dampen the cloth with the warm soapy water and continue to wipe down the lenses and frame.

For stubborn stains, take a cotton swab and dip it into the soapy water. Gently rub the stained area using circular motions. Again, use a dry cloth to remove any residue. If stain is still visible, try using a bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and rub the stain again, making sure to rinse glasses with warm water and wiping them dry with a soft cloth afterwards.

It’s important to note that if you have polarized lenses you should avoid using rubbing alcohol; use only mild soap and water to clean the lenses and frames.
