Tools You Need to Clean Eye Shadow Stains from Pullover

  • Paper towels or clean, absorbent cloths
  • Distilled white vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Dish soap
  • Laundry detergent

Steps to Clean Eye Shadow Stains from Pullover

  1. Treat the stain as soon as possible. The longer it sits, the harder it will be to remove.
  2. Saturate affected area with distilled white vinegar. Leave it on for about 10 minutes.
  3. Blot the eye shadow stain with a paper towel or clean, absorbent cloth, gently rubbing the fabric together in small circles to help lift the stain.
  4. Mix equal parts baking soda and dish soap to form a paste. Rub the paste into the stain and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Rinse the area with cold water and blot with a clean cloth until the stain is gone.
  6. If the stain remains, mix a teaspoon of laundry detergent with two cups of cold water. Soak the affected area for 15-30 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
  7. Lay pullover flat on a clean towel and allow to air dry.

Additional Tips

  • Be sure to use a white cloth or paper towel as using a colored one could cause color transfer.
  • Always test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area to make sure it won't cause discoloring.
