When eye shadow makes its way onto your piqué fabric, it can be hard to remove the stain. However, with some simple cleaning tips and tricks, you can get rid of eye shadow stains. Here is how you can do it:
For removing most eye shadow stains from piqué fabric, detergent water works best. Start by mixing a tablespoon of mild detergent in one gallon of cold water. Use a clean cloth or soft-bristled brush to dab the stained area with this mixture. Let the liquid stay on surface for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
If the stain still persists after being treated with detergent water, try using an ammonia solution. To make this solution, mix one tablespoon of ammonia in half cup of warm water. Apply this onto the stained area with a soft-bristled brush and let it sit for a few minutes. Rinse off with cold water and then use a damp cloth to blot the area.
Rubbing alcohol is also known to help remove eye shadow stains from piqué fabric. To use this method, pour some rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab or soft-bristled brush. Dab the stained area gently with this and let it sit for a few minutes. Rinse the area after with water and dab the area dry with a clean cloth.
After following any of these methods, you should be able to get rid of the eye shadow stain from your piqué fabric. However, it’s important to remember that before trying out any of these techniques, you need to check the care label of the fabric to make sure the process won’t damage it.
