1. Remove Excess Eye Shadow

Before attempting to treat the stain, remove any excess eye shadow that has not yet dried. Gently dab the area with a damp cloth to ensure that no trace of product remains.

2. Pre-Treat Stain

Once the excess has been removed, pre-treat the stain with some liquid laundry detergent. Gently dab detergent onto the area and let it sit for a few minutes, allowing it to penetrate the fabric.

3. Create a Vinegar Solution

Mix a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts water in a spray bottle and shake it up. Spray the stained area lightly with this mixture and let it sit for 10–15 minutes.

4. Rinse with Water

After the vinegar solution has had some time to work, rinse the area with cold water. Then, use a soft cloth to gently blot the area until all of the moisture has been absorbed.

5. Apply Stain Remover

Finally, apply a small amount of stain remover to the area and allow it to sit for 10–15 minutes. Using a circular motion, gently rub the area with a soft cloth until the eye shadow stain is no longer visible.

6. Wash and Dry

Once the stain has been removed, wash the item as normal and allow it to air dry. This is particularly important since heat from the dryer can set the stain further.
