First and foremost, be sure to lay out an old towel or drop cloth where you will be cleaning to protect any furniture or floors. It’s also important to note that Lacoste fabrics are delicate and should not be exposed to harsh chemicals, so opt for a mild detergent or delicate cleaner such as Castile soap.
Once area has been prepared, take the Lacoste garment (with the eye shadow stain) and submerge it in cold water. Soak the garment for 15 to 20 minutes to soften the eye shadow and allow it to loosen from the fabric fibers.
With the help of an old toothbrush, dab a small amount of detergent onto the stain and gently rub it into the fabric in a circular motion. This is an important step, as it will help to work the detergent into the fibers and further remove the eye shadow.
After the detergent has been applied and spread around the stained area, rinse the affected area with cold water. You may need to use several rinses to completely remove the eye shadow.
Once the eye shadow stain has been removed, hang the garment up to air dry or lay it flat on a towel. Avoid putting the garment in dryer as this could cause the stain to set in permanently.
With these few simple steps, you’ll be able to clean up any stubborn eye shadow stains on your Lacoste garments! Remember, be gentle with the fabric and use a mild detergent or natural cleanser such as Castile soap to get the best results.
