Eye shadow is notoriously hard to remove from clothing without causing damage. Luckily, there are a few ways to safely tackle those stubborn stains.

Lift and Loosen: To start, use a spoon to gently scrape away the excess eye shadow from the fabric. Make sure not to press down too hard, as this can push the product further into the fabric fibers.
Wash: Afterwards, wet the area with cold water and dab it with a sponge or cloth to further remove any lingering eye shadow particles. Blot the stained area with a gentle detergent.
Rinse: Rinse well with cold water and examine to check if the stain has been removed. Repeat steps one through three until the stain has been completely lifted.
Treat: If the stain is still visible, treat the area with a pre-treatment solution before washing clothing item.
Launder: Once you’ve taken necessary steps to remove stain, put the garment in machine on a delicate cycle with cold water. Do not use hot water as this can set the stain.

You can also make your own pre-treatment solution by combining two tablespoons of liquid laundry detergent and one cup of warm water. Dip a clean cloth in the mixture and blot the stained area. Repeat until stain is gone.

If you prefer something a bit more natural, using a mix of baking soda and coconut oil can be just as effective.
