There’s nothing like accessorizing with a stylish headband. But if you’ve ever applied too much eye shadow and had it transfer onto your favorite headpiece, you know how difficult it can be to remove the stain. Fortunately, there are a number of easy ways to clean eye shadow stains from your headbands and restore them to their original beauty.
Supplies You'll Need:
- Rubbing alcohol
- Soft cloth
- Dish soap
- Water
- Vinegar
Instructions:
- Start by dabbing the stain with rubbing alcohol. Make sure not to rub – just lightly dab with a soft cloth.
- Mix about a teaspoon of dish soap with a cup of warm water. Dip the cloth into soapy mixture and begin gently dabbing it onto stained area.
- Rinse the cloth in cool water and dab it onto the headband until all of the soap is removed. Blot the area with a dry cloth.
- If the stain remains, mix equal parts vinegar and water and apply it to areas with a cloth. Blot the area with a dry cloth until all of liquid is absorbed.
- Lay the headband flat on a towel and let it dry completely.
