Hair clips are essential accessories for different hairstyles, and they come in many shapes and colors. But if you're using very rich and bright shades of eye shadow, it may find its way onto the metal part of the clip. To make matters worse, stubborn eye shadow stains can ruin the look of your hair clips - but there is an easy way to get rid of them!
The Cleaning Process
Cleaning eye shadow stains from hair clips is fast and simple. All you need is:
- An old toothbrush
- Toothpaste (preferably baking soda toothpaste)
- A bowl of warm water
- A cloth or paper towel
To start, place the hair clip in the bowl of warm water and let it soak for 5-10 minutes. Then, take the toothbrush and spread some toothpaste over the stained areas. Rub toothbrush in a circular motion for about 2 minutes, then rinse the brush with warm water and keep rubbing until the stains are gone or lightened. Then use the cloth or paper towel to wipe away the remaining paste and rinse the clip.
This cleaning method should remove most of the eye shadow stains, but you may need to repeat it a few times for some more stubborn stains.
And that's it! Your hair clips will be looking good as new and ready for another round of accessorizing.
