Step 1: Pre-treat the Stained Area
Begin by pre-treating the stain with a laundry stain remover. Gently work the pre-treatment into the stained area for a few minutes and then let it sit for about 30 minutes.
Step 2: Soak the Clothing
Fill a sink or bucket with warm water and a cup of laundry detergent. Submerge the stained area of the clothing and let it soak for 30 minutes.
Step 3: Rinse and Launder
After the clothing has soaked, gently rinse out the soapy water and then launder the item as you normally would in the washing machine. Make sure to add an extra rinse cycle to ensure all the cleaning solution is removed from the fabric.
Step 4: Dry and Inspect
Once the clothing is finished washing, dry it in the dryer and inspect the area for any remaining stains. If stain remains, simply repeat these steps until stain is completely gone.
