How to Easily Remove Eye Shadow Stains from Cotton Chambray

Materials
- Plenty of cold water
- Laundry detergent
- White vinegar
- Natural soap or bleach alternative
Step 1: Act Quickly
The quicker you attempt to remove an eye shadow stain from cotton chambray, the better. Try to get the garment in cold water as soon as you can, after you’ve noticed the stain.
Step 2: Soak and Rinse
Fill a sink or bucket with cold water until the shirt is submerged. Add a scoop of laundry detergent (or other natural alternative) and let the garment soak for at least an hour. After that, rinse the shirt with cold water.
Step 3: Wash in Cold Water in the Washing Machine
Put your garment in the washing machine with cold water. If the stain has not yet been removed, add a scoop of detergent and run the wash cycle as usual. Make sure to use cold water throughout this process as hot water may set the stain.
Step 4: Check For Remaining Stains
Once your garment comes out of the washing machine, inspect it for any remaining spots. If any are still visible, apply a mixture of half and half white vinegar and cold water directly to the area and let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing.
Step 5: Dry
Finally, dry your garment using the lowest heat setting on your dryer. Be sure to check for any remaining signs of a stain before putting it away.
