What You Need

  • Dishwashing soap
  • White vinegar
  • Borax
  • Laundry detergent
  • Small bowl or container
  • Old toothbrush
  • Warm water
  • Clean cloth

Cleaning Procedure

  1. Make a solution of warm water and dishwashing soap in a bowl.
  2. Dip an old toothbrush into the mixture and scrub the stain lightly. Do not rub too harshly otherwise you might end up spreading the stain.
  3. Rinse the stain with warm water and check if the stain has been removed. If the stain persists, proceed to next step.
  4. Mix together one tablespoon of white vinegar with two tablespoons of Borax and one teaspoon of laundry detergent.
  5. Apply the paste on the eye shadow stain and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Scrub the solution lightly with an old toothbrush.
  7. Rinse the area with warm water. Repeat steps twice if needed.
  8. Finally, blot the area with a clean cloth to absorb excess water.

Additional Tips

  • Use chlorine bleach with extreme caution as its improper usage can ruin the fabric.
  • Do not rub too hard when cleaning stained area as it might spread the stain instead of removing it.
