If the eye shadow stain is still wet, the first step is to immediately blot away as much of the stain as possible using a paper towel or dry cloth. Do not rub or spread the eye shadow further.
Fold a soft cloth over a small brush and dip the cloth in warm, soapy water. Gently scrub the stained area of the Coach bag. Make sure to use gentle strokes as vigorous scrubbing could cause more damage to the fabric.
Rinse the soap off with a clean cloth and cold, running water. If eye shadow stain seems to be lightening, repeat steps 2 and 3 until stain has completely disappeared. After rinsing, pat the area dry with a towel.
If the eye shadow stain won’t budge, it may be necessary to use a specialized upholstery cleaner. Make sure to follow the instructions on cleaner carefully and test the cleaner on a small, inconspicuous area of the bag first. Apply the cleaner to the stain and let sit for a few minutes before wiping off.
Once the stain has been removed, allow the bag to air dry completely. If necessary, use a hairdryer set on the lowest setting to ensure the bag is completely dry.
