Step 1: Use Detergent and Water

Mix 1 teaspoon of liquid detergent in 2 cups of warm water in a bowl or bucket. Submerge the stained area of the fabric in the water and let it soak for about 15 minutes. You should notice that the eye shadow will start to dissolve in the water.

Step 2: Rinse With Cold Water

Carefully rinse the fabric with cold water. The stain should be largely gone, but may remain slightly visible. If the stain is still present, move on to step 3.

Step 3: Use a Stain Remover

If the stain is still visible, apply a small amount of a non-bleach stain remover directly to the fabric. Make sure to use a stain remover that is safe for delicate fabrics like chiffon. Let the stain remover sit briefly before rubbing it into the fabric with a soft brush.

Step 4: Rinse Again and Let Air Dry

Once you've applied the stain remover, rinse the fabric gently with cold water. Do not wring or scrub fabric while rinsing as this could damage the delicate chiffon fabric. Then, let the fabric air dry indoors or outside in the sun.

With these four simple steps, you should be able to easily remove eye shadow stains from chiffon fabric. However, keep in mind that there's always a chance that some staining will remain after the cleaning process. Once you've finished washing and drying fabric, inspect it closely for any remaining visible stains before wearing it again.
