Get Rid of Eye Shadow Stains on a Button-Down Shirt in No Time
Getting eye shadow stains on a button-down shirt can be a fashion nightmare. But it doesn't have to be! You can easily and quickly get rid of those unsightly smudges with these simple steps.

Step 1: Gently Remove Excess Product
The first step is to gently remove any excess eye shadow that is still on shirt. You can do this by carefully scraping away the remaining product with a soft, damp towel. Be sure not to rub at the stain as this could cause it to spread further.
Step 2: Pre-treat the Stain
Next, mix together a paste made of 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap and ¼ cup of baking soda. Apply the paste directly to the eye shadow stain and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, blot paste with a damp cloth and rinse the area with cool water.
Step 3: Launder the Shirt
Once the stain has been pre-treated, launder shirt according to the manufacturer's instructions. If stain is still present after laundering, repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the stain is gone.
