The first step is to scrape off any residue that’s left on the fabric. Use a plastic knife or spoon to carefully remove as much eye shadow as possible. Do not use metal, as this could damage the fabric.
Once you’ve removed as much eye shadow as possible, it’s time to tackle the stain itself. Create a mixture of two parts white vinegar and one part water and apply it directly to the stained area. Let sit for 10 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
If the vinegar mixture doesn’t get rid of the stain completely, try using a small amount of dish soap. Apply directly to stained area and let sit for 5 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
Once you’ve finished cleaning the stain, hang the swimsuit outside to air dry in sun. If there is still some discoloration after it’s dry, repeat the steps above until the stain is gone.
And that’s it! You can now enjoy your clean swimsuit without worrying about embarrassing eye shadow stains. Just remember to be extra careful in the future when applying make-up if you plan to go swimming afterwards.
