If you’ve recently spilled eye shadow on your belt, the first step is to use a dry cloth to blot the area dry and absorb as much of the eye shadow as possible. Once you’ve done this, create a simple solution of one part mild liquid dish soap and one part warm water. Take a soft cloth or brush and dip it in the mixture. Gently scrub the stained area until the stain is no longer visible. Once you’re finished, rinse the belt off with cold water and let it air dry.
If you don’t have any liquid dish soap on hand, you can also use a pre-made stain remover instead. Try a gentle enzymatic cleaner like Zout Stain Remover, which is specifically designed to remove tough stains like eye shadow. Apply the cleaner to stained area of the belt and let it sit for a few minutes before gently rubbing it in with a clean cloth. Finally, rinse belt off with cold water and let it air dry.
If you’re dealing with a particularly stubborn eye shadow stain, you may need to use a stronger solution. In this case, try creating a mixture of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. Dip a soft cloth or brush in the solution and scrub the stained area of the belt. Allow the solution to sit for a few minutes before rinsing the belt off with cold water and letting it air dry.
Eye shadow stains on your favorite belt don’t have to be a hassle. With the help of these simple methods, you’ll be able to remove them in no time. Remember, always start with the simplest method first and work your way up to the more potent solutions if needed.
