3 Easy Steps to Remove Eye Shadow Stains from Barrettes

We all love a statement look with eye shadow, but nobody loves it when it transfers onto other things. Here are three easy steps to remove eye shadow stains from your barrettes.

Step 1: Brush Off Leftover Makeup

Gently brush off any remaining chunks of product from the surface of barrette. This can be done using a soft bristled toothbrush or makeup brush.

Step 2: Spot Treat with Isopropyl Alcohol

Isopropyl alcohol is great for spot cleaning stains. Dip a cotton swab in a small amount of the alcohol and dab it directly on stained area. Continue this until the stain has been removed to your satisfaction.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Once the stain has been removed, rinse the barrette with lukewarm water. Dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth before wearing it again.
