What You'll Need:

  • Dish soap
  • Water
  • Soft cloth
  • Dry cloth
  • Vinegar (optional)

Step 1: Mix Soap and Water

Mix equal parts of dish soap and water in a small bowl. This will create a cleaning solution that can be applied directly to the stain.

Step 2: Dampen Cloth With Solution

Dampen a soft cloth in the soapy water solution. Be sure not to oversaturate the cloth; you don’t want the liquid to run down onto appliance when cleaning.

Step 3: Apply the Damp Cloth to Stain

Gently dab the cloth onto the eye shadow stain until it begins to fade. If there is still a slight discoloration, you may want to try using a bit of vinegar to help lift the stain. Simply mix one part vinegar with two parts water and apply the solution to the stain with a damp cloth.

Step 4: Clean and Dry

After the stain has been removed, rinse the cloth in fresh water and wring it out. Then, use dry cloth to wipe away any excess moisture. Finally, let the appliance dry completely before covering it or using it again.
