If the eye shadow stain is still fresh, use a damp cloth to gently rub and remove as much of the residue as possible. After that, take a cotton swab and dab a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto the stained area. Allow the alcohol to sit for about five minutes, then blot the area with a clean, dry cloth. This should help lift the stain.
Once the eye shadow stain has been removed, you'll need to wash the fabric to make sure it's fully sanitized. Use a mild detergent and carefully follow the instructions on garment's tag. Depending on fabric, you may want to opt for a gentle hand wash instead of laundering in the washing machine. If the tag recommends machine-washing, turn the garment inside out and set the water temperature to cold before laundering in the machine.
Once fabric has been washed, it's important to let it air-dry. To avoid damaging the garment, never place it in the dryer. Instead, hang it up on a drying rack or lay it flat on a clean towel. Letting the garment air-dry will help reduce the risk of shrinkage.
