Step 1. Blot the Stain with a Towel

The first step in treating an eye shadow stain is to blot the area with a clean towel. Gently press cloth into the stained area, taking care not to rub it as this will spread the stain further. You may need to repeat this process a few times before stain is removed.

Step 2. Pretreat the Stain with Soap and Water

Once excess eye shadow has been blotted away, it’s time to pretreat stain with soap and water. Apply a small amount of mild detergent directly to the stain and gently work it into the fabric. Let detergent sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.

Step 3. Wash the Garment as Usual

Finally, wash the garment as you would normally. Make sure to check the stained area after washing to ensure that stain has been fully removed. If it hasn’t, repeat steps 1 through 3 until the stain is no longer visible.
