If you have children, or have been around them, then at some point in your life you must have faced diaper stains on traditional clothing. To prevent these stains from becoming a permanent fixture on your fabric, here are some steps that you can take to get rid of them.

1. Blotting with Damp Cloth

Firstly, use a damp cloth to blot the stained area and try to absorb as much as possible of the liquid or moisture. You can also use a paper towel to gently dab the stain.

2. Pre-treat the Stain With Detergent

Once you have removed the excess moisture, pre-treat the stain with detergent and rinse it off. Make sure to cover your child’s clothes with a damp cloth or towel before doing so, as it will protect their clothing from harshness of the detergent.

3. Soak the Item With Detergent

After pre-treating, it’s time for a full soak. Add detergent and a small amount of baking soda to a bucket of lukewarm water and soak the item for an hour or two. When done, rinse item off and check if the stain is still there.

4. Wash Item in Cold Water

Once you have soaked the item completely, it’s time to move on to washing it in cold water. Add some detergent and wash it in cold water on a gentle cycle. You can also add white vinegar while doing so, as it helps soften the fabric and remove any bacteria or odors.

5. Hang the Item Out to Dry

Finally, when the washing is done, hang the item out to dry in the sun. This will help brighten the colors and remove any lingering odors. Make sure to do this step carefully, as traditional clothes are more delicate than other materials.

And that’s how you can easily and effectively get rid of diaper stains from traditional clothes. With these tips and tricks, you can easily keep your child’s traditional clothes in perfect condition.
