Before washing the sleepwear, you should pre-treat the stains with a stain remover. Liquid detergents designed for removing tough stains are best for this. Apply the stain remover directly on the affected areas and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
Once the pre-treatment is done, you can wash the sleepwear in hot water. Make sure the water temperature doesn’t exceed the fabric's maximum temperature. You can add a scoop of laundry detergent or liquid detergent to the washing machine. Then, run the washing machine on a normal cycle.
Once first round of washing is done, inspect the sleepwear for any remaining stains. If there are any residual stains, you can add extra detergent, liquid detergent, or even a scoop of bleach to the second wash. This should help remove the remaining stains.
Once the second round of washing is done, you can dry sleepwear in the dryer or on the line. When drying on line, make sure to check the sleepwear for any remaining stains as the sun can sometimes set the stains and make them harder to remove.
