The first step in removing a diaper stain is to soak the area in cold water. To do this, fill a sink or bowl with cold water and add a few drops of mild detergent. Submerge stained area and let it soak for at least 30 minutes. The cold water will help break down the stain and make it easier to clean.
Once stain has been soaked, it's time to start scrubbing. We recommend using a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub away the diaper stain. Be sure to use a light touch so you don't damage the fabric. Work in small circles until all traces of the stain are gone.
Once the area has been scrubbed, rinse off any soap residue with cold water. Use a clean cloth to gently dab away excess moisture. Resist the urge to rub or scrub fabric as this could cause further damage.
After the stain and soap residue have been removed, launder the fabric as usual. It's important to take extra care when drying the fabric. If possible, air dry garment or use the gentle cycle on your dryer. This will help keep the fabric from shrinking or becoming misshapen.
