Before washing your silk tussah diapers, grab a pre-wash stain remover and carefully rub it onto the stained area. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before throwing it into the wash. This will help to break down stain before laundering.
When you're ready to launder diapers, stick with cold water and a mild detergent. Hot water can set stain even further, so it's best to avoid that altogether. You can also add in a few tablespoons of baking soda to give it an extra boost of cleaning power.
Once your silk tussah diapers have finished washing, hang them up outside to air dry. Sunlight can naturally help to bleach out stain, so leave the diapers out in sun as long as you can. If they still have a slight stain after that, you can repeat steps one and two until the stain disappears.
It's not always easy to keep your baby's diapers clean and stain-free. But with a few simple pre-treatments and quality laundry detergents, you can quickly get rid of diaper stains on your silk tussah fabric. The next time you're doing a load of laundry, try these three easy steps and keep your cloth diapers looking their best.
