Whenever you see a diaper stain on your silk faille fabric, first step should always be to blot up any excess moisture. Do this carefully, as silk is very delicate and can be easily damaged. Blotting helps to prevent the stain from spreading further in the fabric, so make sure to do it gently.
Using a stain removal product, pretreat the stained area. Pay close attention to the manufacturer’s instructions when using these products, as they often vary based on the type of fabric. Follow the instructions carefully and don’t skip any steps.
Ideally, washing should be done in cold water. Silk faille tends to shrink when washed in hot water, so it’s best to stick to cold or warm water settings. Once the fabric is washed, check to see if the stain has been removed. If not, repeat the process.
Hang the fabric in an area that’s well ventilated and out of direct sunlight. Sunlight can damage delicate fibres of the silk faille, so make sure to hang it in a dim and airy space. Don't use a clothes dryer to dry fabric, as it can shrink and fade the fabric.
