How to Get Diaper Stains Out of a Shift Dress for Good

Supplies Needed
- Laundry detergent
- Baking soda
- Oxygen-based bleach powder
- Vinegar
- Clean cloths or cotton balls
Instructions
- Wet the stained area of the dress with clean water.
- Sprinkle on laundry detergent onto the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. If the stain is particularly tough, let it sit longer.
- Scrub the stained area gently with a clean cloth or cotton ball.
- Mix together oxygen-based bleach powder, baking soda and vinegar in a container. The amounts should be 1 tablespoon of each.
- Pour solution over the stain and let it stand for 10-15 minutes.
- Rinse the dress with cold water. If any of the stain persists, repeat steps 3-5 until the stain is gone.
Tips for Prevention
- Many diaper stains can be prevented by simply changing the baby's diaper as soon as possible after it becomes soiled.
- If you are going to be wearing a shift dress around a baby, consider dressing them in clothing that covers their stomach, such as onesies and bibs.
- Be sure to wash the dress with cold water immediately after coming into contact with the diaper stain.
