How to Remove Diaper Stains from Rosepoint Lace

What You'll Need
- Dishwashing liquid
- Water
- White vinegar
- Soft cloth or sponge
- Dry towel
Instructions
- Remove any excess solid matter by scraping it off with edge of a spoon or butter knife.
- Mix one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid in one cup of lukewarm water.
- Using a soft cloth or sponge, gently apply soapy mixture to the stained area. Take care to not rub harshly, as this could damage the delicate fabric.
- Rinse the area with clean water, then blot the stained area with a dry towel to remove excess moisture.
- Apply a small amount of white vinegar to the stain and let it sit for twenty minutes.
- Rinse the area with clean water, then again blot with a dry towel to remove excess moisture.
Tips and Warnings
- Do not put rosepoint lace into the washing machine, as the fabric may fray or tear.
- Do not scrub the stained area; use gentle motions to prevent damaging the delicate lace.
- Be sure to rinse the area thoroughly after applying the soapy or vinegar solutions; any residue left behind could discolor fabric.
