What You'll Need
- Laundry detergent
- Stain remover
- White vinegar
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Baking soda
Steps for Cleaning Diaper Stains from Your Robe
- Pretreat the stain. Turn robe inside out and apply some laundry detergent directly to the soiled area. Allow the detergent to sit on the area for five to 10 minutes before moving on to step two.
- Soak the robe. Fill a sink or tub with enough warm water to submerge the robe. Add 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 1/4 cup of laundry detergent to water and mix it together to make a cleaning solution.
- Submerge the robe in the solution and let it absorb the liquid. Allow it to soak for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than two hours.
- After the robe is finished soaking, rinse it thoroughly in clean, warm water.
- Inspect the robe to make sure diaper stains are gone. If any stains remain, place one teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide onto the spot and dab it with a cloth. Allow hydrogen peroxide to sit on the robe for five to 10 minutes.
- If stain still won't come out, mix baking soda with a few drops of warm water to make a paste. Place paste directly onto the stain and use your fingertips to massage it into the fabric. Let it sit for five minutes then rinse it with warm water.
