The most important factor in removing any type of stain from any kind of fabric is acting quickly. If the diaper has just been changed and the rayon item is still wet, blot the stain carefully with a paper towel or cloth. Do not rub the fabric—this could cause the stain to spread. Work your way outward from center of the stain so that it doesn’t spread.
Once bulk of the wetness has been removed, apply a pre-treat stain remover according to its instructions. If the item is large and can’t be moved to a sink, pour a small amount of stain remover onto a cloth, then blot the stained area with the cloth. Work from inside of the stain outwards as before.
After pre-treating the material, run it through washing machine using cold water. Do not add it to other items that require a hotter temperature, as this could set stain. Some rayon items may be labeled as “dry clean only.” In these cases, refer to dry cleaning instructions on the label to get rid of the diaper stain.
Once item is finished washing, avoid putting it in the dryer, as heat can set stain residue. Instead air-dry it, either indoors or out, depending on the weather. Inspect the item once it's dry to make sure that all the stain is gone.
