What Causes Diaper Stains?

Diaper stains occur when contents of a diaper seep through the fabric and onto surface of furniture. Depending on what type of fabric or material your furniture is made of, the stains could be particularly tough to remove.

Removing Diaper Stains from Outdoor Furniture

The first step in removing diaper stains from outdoor furniture is to rinse off as much of the excess material as possible. This is best done with a hose sprayer, but you can also do it with a damp cloth or sponge.

Once you’ve rinsed off the excess material, apply a mixture of mild detergent with warm water. Work the mixture into the stain using a soft brush to loosen particles.

Once you’ve worked detergent into the stain, rinse off the area with clean water. If the stain is still visible, try applying a stain remover specifically designed for outdoor furniture.

Once the stain is gone, allow the furniture to air dry. Be sure not to use any heat sources to speed up the drying process as this could damage the furniture.
