The first step to removing a diaper stain from jeans is to take action quickly. Fresh diaper stains are much easier to remove than those that have been left alone for a few days. If the diaper stain is still fresh, start by blotting up as much of the liquid as you can with a cloth. And then, spray the area with club soda or white vinegar. Follow that by patting it dry with a clean cloth, and continue to repeat the process until stain has faded.
If the diaper stain is already dry, you'll want to try soaking the jeans. Fill a basin with hot water, add a cup of white vinegar, submerge the stained area, and let it soak for at least an hour before rinsing it off. You can also add a cap full of laundry detergent to the basin to help lift the stain. If the diaper stain remains after the soak, you may need to use a stronger solution. Make a paste of baking soda and water and apply it directly to the stain. Leave it on for about 10 minutes before washing the jeans in hot water.
Finally, for more difficult stains, you may need to use a commercial spot remover or bleach. If using bleach, make sure to test it on a small area of the jeans before attempting to treat the stained area. To combat odors, wash the jeans with a bit of baking soda and hang them in sun for some natural freshening.
With these tips, you should be able to easily remove diaper stains from your jeans. And with a little bit of TLC, you can keep your jeans looking like new.
