Step 1: Identify the Stain

Before attempting to clean the stain, it is important to determine what type of diaper stain it is. Knowing the source of the stain is essential, as it will later influence the appropriate cleaning method.

Step 2: Prepare the Area

Once the type of stain has been identified, preparation for cleaning should begin. Place the fleece item flat on an ironing board and cover the stained area with a damp cloth. Stains should be treated as soon as possible so they do not set and become more difficult to remove.

Step 3: Treat and Clean the Stain

When dealing with a diaper rash, use a mild detergent to pre-treat the stain and then launder as directed. Wash item in warm water and let air dry. For urine and poo stains, soak the fleece item in cold water and rub in a small amount of laundry detergent. Once the stain is removed, rinse the item in cold water and hang dry.

By following these simple steps, you can easily remove diaper stains from your fleece items. Keep in mind that different fibers may react differently to certain cleaning processes, so be sure to read the care instructions on the garment label.
