The first step for getting diaper stains out of double georgette is to ensure that you treat the affected area as soon as possible. Any delay will give stain more time to set in, making it harder to remove later. Start by blotting the area with a damp paper towel or cloth to absorb some of liquid, then rinse with cold water. Place the item in cold water for about 30 minutes.

Once rinsed, it’s time to treat the stain. Mix up a solution of one part detergent and four parts water, and then apply mixture to the stained area with a soft-bristled brush, working gently in a circular motion. Allow the soapy solution to sit on the stain for 10-15 minutes to give it time to work its magic. Rinse area with warm water to completely remove the detergent.

If the stain remains after doing this step, it’s time to break out the enzyme-based stain remover. Spray the area lightly with the remover, then wait 5-15 minutes for it to take effect. Once it’s had a chance to break down the stain, blot the area with a damp cloth to remove any remaining remover. Finally, rinse area with cold water to remove all traces of the remover and the stain.

Finally, your double georgette fabric should be as good as new. For best results, make sure to hang your item up to air dry after washing. With the right technique, removing a diaper stain from double georgette can be a breeze.
