Step 1: Scrape Away Any Solid Pieces of Diaper

Take your cutting board and scrape away as much of the solid pieces of diaper as possible. Work from the outside edge into the center of the stain. This will help you to lift the bulk of diaper and make it easier to clean.

Step 2: Wipe and Rinse

Once you have scraped away the diaper, use a damp cloth and warm water to wipe away any remaining residue. Use circular motions to reach every corner and crevice of the cutting board. Rinse the cutting board and dry with a cloth afterwards.

Step 3: Use Dish Soap

Apply a liberal amount of dish soap to the soiled area and gently rub the soap into the surface. Make sure to use a non-abrasive cleaner that won’t damage your cutting board. Let the soap sit for a few minutes before wiping it away with a damp cloth.

Step 4: Sanitize Your Cutting Board

Fill a spray bottle with a mixture of two teaspoons of bleach and one quart of water. Spray mixture all over cutting board and let it sit for five minutes. Rinse away the bleach mixture with hot water and dry the surface.

Step 5: Let it Air Dry

After wiping away the bleach mixture, let your cutting board air dry. Doing this will help to prevent any bacteria from forming on the surface. You may also want to use a disinfectant spray to make sure that everything is sanitized.
