What You’ll Need:

  • White vinegar
  • A brush or cloth
  • Cold water
  • Mild detergent
  • Paper towels

Step by Step Guide

  1. Start by blotting area with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
  2. Mix white vinegar with cold water and apply to the stained area with a cloth or brush. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Rinse off the vinegar mixture with cold water and pat dry with a clean paper towel.
  4. If the stain has not come out, mix a small amount of mild detergent into cold water and apply to the stained area with a brush or cloth. Work the stain gently until it starts to lift. Rinse off the detergent and pat the area dry with a paper towel.
  5. Once the stain has been removed, wash the entire garment according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Tips

  • Be sure to never rub the stained area, as this can make the stain worse.
  • If the stain remains after the above steps, try a store-bought stain remover.
