What You'll Need

  • White cotton cloth
  • Mild soap
  • Cold water
  • Absorbent paper
  • Iron
  • Vinegar (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Lay garment flat on a white cotton cloth.
  2. Dampen a corner of the cotton cloth with cold water. Add a drop of mild soap or dishwashing liquid onto the dampened corner.
  3. Gently rub the stained area with soapy cloth, being careful not to pull or stretch the fabric. If necessary, apply a bit more soap.
  4. Rinse the area with cold water and then pat it dry with an absorbent paper.
  5. If the stain is still visible, dampen the garment with a solution of 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of water.
  6. Let the garment sit for about 10 minutes, then rinse and pat it dry with absorbent paper.
  7. Finally, use an iron to press stained area until it’s completely dry.
