Things You’ll Need

  • Clean towel
  • 2 sponges
  • Dish soap
  • Warm water
  • Laundry detergent
  • Stain remover

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Use a dry, clean towel to blot away as much of the stain as possible. Do not rub or scrub, as this will just spread the stain around.

Step 2: Apply Soap

Wet one of the sponges with warm water and add a drop or two of dish soap. Gently rub soap into the stained area and continue to rinse sponge in warm water as you scrub area.

Step 3: Wash in Laundry Detergent

Fill a sink with warm water and add a capful of laundry detergent. Submerge the blazer into the sink and let it soak for 20 minutes. Rinse the blazer with cold water afterwards.

Step 4: Use a Stain Remover

If the stain is still present, apply a stain remover to the affected area. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with warm water afterwards.

Step 5: Air Dry

Lay the blazer on a clean towel and let it air dry. Or use a fan to speed up the drying process.
