It's inevitable that when dealing with diapers and children, diaper stains are bound to appear on your clothing. And while you might think it's impossible to remove once it sets in, this doesn't have to be the case - especially when it comes to aprons.
We've created a few simple steps that will help you rid your apron of any diaper stains in no time. Read on to find out what they are:
Before you begin the actual cleaning process, pre-soak the apron in cold water for 30 minutes. This is important as it will help loosen up diaper stain and make it easier to remove. Once the apron has been soaked, rinse it off with cold water.
After soaking, apply a pre-wash stain remover on both sides of the fabric. Allow the stain remover to sit for about 10 minutes in order for it to take effect.
Once the stain remover has been applied, place the apron in the washing machine and add a mild detergent. Wash the apron on the lowest setting possible, ensuring that the temperature isn't too hot. It's better to err on side of caution since high temperatures may actually set stain further.
After the apron has gone through the washing machine, it's time to dry it. Air-dry it on a clothesline since it's gentler on the fabric than a tumble dryer. Be sure to check apron periodically to ensure that it isn't getting stuck or stretched as it's drying.
Once the apron has been air-dried, check to see if the diaper stain has been removed. If not, repeat steps stated above until the stain has been successfully removed.
And there you have it - five easy steps on how to clean diaper stains from an apron. With this guide in hand, your apron will be good as new in no time!
