Step 1: Soak the Angora Fabric

One of the most effective ways to remove a diaper stain from angora fabric is to soak it in warm water. Fill a bucket or basin with warm water and add a few drops of laundry detergent. Soak the stained angora fabric for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it out with clean water.

Step 2: Pretreat the Stain

If the stain remains after soaking, pretreat it with a special stain remover. Spray the stain remover directly on the soiled area, making sure to completely cover the stain. Allow the stain remover to set for 10 minutes before rinsing it out with cold water. Repeat this step as necessary until the stain is gone.

Step 3: Hand Wash the Angora Fabric

Once the stain is removed, wash the angora fabric by hand with a gentle detergent. Fill a sink with lukewarm water and add a few drops of detergent. Gently agitate the fabric as it soaks for several minutes before rinsing out soap with cold water.

Step 4: Air Dry the Angora Fabric

Allow the fabric to air dry by laying it flat on a towel or drying rack. Never use a dryer to dry angora fabric since the heat can damage delicate fabric.

Tips for Preventing Diaper Stains on Angora

  • Always change the diaper immediately after soiling.
  • Use an absorbent diaper liner to help contain moisture.
  • Wash the affected area with cold water and gentle detergent after each diaper change.
  • Apply a protective barrier such as a zinc oxide paste or Vaseline to the diaper area to help prevent staining.
