If you’ve had an incident with some spilled dessert wine, the first thing to do is act fast. Immediately dab a clean cloth or paper towel into the stain, and lightly blot to absorb as much liquid as possible.

Then wet a cloth with cold water and gently work it into the stained area. Don’t rub, as this will cause the stain to spread further. Instead, blot the damp cloth against fabric until stain has been lifted.

Next, mix a solution of chlorine-free detergent and warm water in a bowl. Soak the stained area of fabric into the solution for 10–15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with cold water. Make sure that the stain is completely removed before allowing your clothing to air dry.

If stain still persists, pour a small drop of rubbing alcohol directly onto the stain, using a cotton swab. Again, gently blot the stain with a clean cloth or paper towel to remove the excess liquid. Then, repeat the steps above – mix a solution of detergent and warm water, rinse with cold water, and let dry.

Et voila! Your Zara clothes will be looking brand new in no time.
