We’ve all been there: enjoying a glass of sweet dessert wine and accidentally getting it on our beloved watches. Whether you were clumsily pouring the glass or an overly enthusiastic toast, you need to know how to get rid of those unsightly dried wine stains.

Step 1: Start with Soap and Water

The first step to removing the dried-on wine stains is to take a soft cloth or sponge and some mild soap and water. Get the cloth or sponge damp, add a drop of soap, and gently scrub the stained area in small circles. Make sure to rinse the cloth or sponge regularly, as you don’t want to leave any soapy residue behind.

Step 2: Use Rubbing Alcohol

If soap and water didn’t get rid of the stains, you may want to try rubbing alcohol. Again, take a soft cloth or sponge and lightly dab it in rubbing alcohol. Then, gently clean the stained area in small circles. Be sure to keep the cloth or sponge damp but not dripping with alcohol. Afterward, rinse off the watch and let it dry.

Step 3: Take off the Band and Clean with Soap and Water

For particularly stubborn stains, you may want to take off the watch band and clean it separately. Again, take a soft cloth or sponge, dampen it with some water and a drop of soap, and gentle scrub band. Rinse the cloth or sponge often, as you don’t want any traces of soap left behind. Let the band and watch dry before putting it back together.

Following these steps will help you easily remove stubborn desert wine stains from your watch. With a bit of effort and the right cleaning supplies, you can make your watch look brand new in no time.
