What You Need

  • Small bowl
  • Dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Cotton cloth
  • Cold water

Steps to Follow

  1. As soon as possible after the stain occurs, rinse the T-shirt with cold water. Use as little pressure as possible, and do not rub stain.
  2. Mix a small amount of dish soap with white vinegar in a bowl until a paste-like substance is formed.
  3. Sponge the mixture onto stained area and let sit for five minutes.
  4. Rinse the area with cold water, pressing gently to remove residue.
  5. Continue sponging area with cold water until all of the soap and vinegar mixture is removed.
  6. Allow to air dry.

Other Tips and Things to Keep in Mind

  • Make sure to blot or dab at the stain instead of rubbing or scrubbing.
  • Don't use hot water or heat will set the stain.
  • Do not put shirt in dryer until you're sure the stain is gone to avoid setting it.
