What You Need
- Small bowl
- Dish soap
- White vinegar
- Cotton cloth
- Cold water
Steps to Follow
- As soon as possible after the stain occurs, rinse the T-shirt with cold water. Use as little pressure as possible, and do not rub stain.
- Mix a small amount of dish soap with white vinegar in a bowl until a paste-like substance is formed.
- Sponge the mixture onto stained area and let sit for five minutes.
- Rinse the area with cold water, pressing gently to remove residue.
- Continue sponging area with cold water until all of the soap and vinegar mixture is removed.
- Allow to air dry.
Other Tips and Things to Keep in Mind
- Make sure to blot or dab at the stain instead of rubbing or scrubbing.
- Don't use hot water or heat will set the stain.
- Do not put shirt in dryer until you're sure the stain is gone to avoid setting it.
