Whether you spilled your favourite Moscato or Port on your couch or you had a bit of a clumsy mishap, the good news it that wine spills are fixable! Here are some simple steps that you can take to remove the stain and get your suede looking as good as new.

What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Spoon
  • Baking soda
  • Soft brush
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Clean towel

Steps

  1. First, soak up any excess liquid with a clean towel.
  2. Mix equal parts white vinegar and baking soda into a paste.
  3. Using a spoon, gently work the mixture into the fabric.
  4. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes then use a soft brush to wipe it away.
  5. If the stain still remains, you can apply a very small amount of hydrogen peroxide directly to stain. Let it sit for 30 minutes then blot with dry cloth.

Once you have finished, it is important to test out the fabric in an inconspicuous spot first before proceeding with the entire piece of furniture.
