Instructions for Cleaning Dessert Wine Stains

  1. Blot the stain with paper towels.
  2. Mix one teaspoon of dish soap in a cup of cool water, swirl and mix until general suds form.
  3. Dampen a clean towel with the soapy mixture, and carefully dab it over stained area.
  4. Dampen a clean paper towel with white vinegar, and gently dab at the stained area.
  5. If stain persists, try applying a 1:1 mixture of oxygen bleach and warm water to the stained area. Let sit overnight.
  6. For tougher stains, try rubbing alcohol on the affected area.
  7. Rinse the shorts with cool water.
  8. Repeat as necessary.
